Form attends the Young Lives Foundation Gala

We were delighted to attend the fabulous Young Lives Foundation Charity Gala on 4th March 2022

Held at the Mercure Hotel, Maidstone, the evening set out to raise much-needed funds for this hard-working charity. It was a true black-tie event, complete with red carpet arrival, charity auction and, of course, evening entertainment. In total, the event raised over £12,500, which is a fantastic achievement. All the funds raised will go directly towards supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children who have suffered from the consequences of the pandemic by offering mentoring support programmes.

Our special guest speaker

The evening was made even more special for Form when our Business Development Manager, Elliott Sinden, took to the stage as a guest speaker. Elliott recently joined the YLF mentorship programme, and we were really proud to hear him speak about his experiences.

About the Young Lives Foundation

The Young Lives Foundation was recently named Kent’s Children’s Charity of the year. The charity focuses on supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people across the South East of England. Founded in 2007, YLF supports a wide group of underprivileged children and young people through a range of unique and tailored services.

YLF Mentorship programme

One of the services they provide is a Mentorship programme, and this is where Elliott has been heavily involved. After organising a wing walk fundraiser alongside Form in aid of the charity last year, he decided to donate even more of his time towards their valuable work.

“I volunteer for the YLF, supporting their Befriending scheme,” Elliott explained. “I spend a few hours each month with a young person for one-to-one interaction. I take them away from the home environment to enjoy some fun activities, such as bowling, go-karting and trips to the cinema. It’s a hugely fulfilling experience. It’s great to be able to make a real difference in someone’s life.”

Supporting our community

At Form, we are actively engaged in supporting this fantastic charity. As part of our dedication to helping the local community, we are currently raising funds for their Easter campaign. The last few years have been challenging for so many people, and we believe a shared commitment to our communities and each other will make a real difference.
